Orange has planned to provide high speed broadband service to its customers through BT infrastructure. Bruno, Vice president of Orange stated that, “declining demand for company’s broadband and utter disappointment with the service compelled the network provider to take this drastic step”.
Orange has planned to compete with leading broadband providers by investing more funds into the broadband sector. Bruno also added that, “We are not satisfied with where we stand with broadband, as our customer base is declining and our performance is poor.”
Orange and T-Mobile merged last month under the decision of Tom Alexander, CEO of Orange. Moreover it has planned to bring 30 million mobile customers under single roof to provide high speed broad band service. Nearly 61 percent of Orange staff will be shifted to BT after the initial deal.
